Las Vegas Casinos Prepare to Reopen

Las Vegas reopens, the gambling industry is looking to start mass testing for the Coronavirus on the employees who will resume work. The casinos have yet to open, but are already starting to put measures in place to start tests. The results are expected to be ready within 48 hours of testing. That should speed up the process of knowing how many staff members will be back on the job. Anyone found positive will have to work with the Southern Nevada Health District to contact trace. It seems it may be a mammoth task to try and facilitate gambling in Las Vegas casinos at a time where we are being encouraged to socially distance. You might think it would be much simpler to just gamble online? Well if you would rather err on the side of caution and play real money online casino games, we already have an easy American casino guide for you. Let’s explore this new development and see what Sin City’s gambling industry has planned.

Las Vegas Casinos Prepare to Re Open

Is there a set date for the Reopening of Las Vegas Casinos?

Even though the state’s lawmakers have not given a set date for when the casinos may reopen, it seems the casino operator’s cooperative is ready to get the ball rolling. They have big plans with some eyeing June 1st to reopen. They aim to do about 4,000 coronavirus tests daily, with results expected in 48 hours. MGM Resorts, Caesars Ent, Boyd Gaming the Culinary Union and other industry players in a collective announcement emphasized that the tests would ensure that workers “are safe when they return to work,”. Costs for these tests were not disclosed however judging from the fact that MGM and Caesars own the most casino resorts in Vegas so they most likely would have invested a lot into the preparation to reopen. No doubt the casino shutdown has cost the state and the whole country a lot financially, emotionally, mentally and otherwise. As much as it is a good thing that much needed jobs will be saved, should Sin City turn into a Covid-19 epicentre we hope what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
